Putting this out into the void [08 Feb 2011|02:57pm]

[ mood | accomplished ]

I know Chess fans are far and few between, but since it's my favorite musical in the whole world, I wrote a Live Action Role Playing Game based on the musical. If anyone wants to use it, it's free to download on my deviantart at this link: http://chibisilverwings.deviantart.com/#/d393hws

I hope a few Chess fans stumble on it and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Erm, hi!

I realise this is probably a long shot, buuuuut I figured it was worth a try. I'm a British Chess fan and one of my friends got me the original soundtrack for my birthday, yay! However, as yet I've been unable to find the Broadway recording - I'm especially intrigued since it has songs not on the original one and a different story (ah, how I love Wikipedia!) Has anyone got any advice on where to find it?

Thanks in advance!

bit by bit the pieces fit [31 Dec 2005|05:39pm]

Hey hey, newbie to the community here! I absolutely love CHESS (well, not so much the American version, which makes my Yank heart sad as I don't think we can perform any but the American version here) and am glad to see there's a group out here of like-minded souls!

I just splurged and got CHESS IN CONCERT, now I'm looking for the Swedish and the Danish cast recordings. However, the only place I've been able to track 'em down is Ebay, and they'd cost me an arm and a leg each. Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding either or both of them for a reasonable price? I really want to hear the new songs! Especially the Danish version, which I hear is excellent but out of print for some reason!

*cough cough* 'course I would certainly be very appreciative if some kind person might *cough* burn me a CD or two *cough* just sayin' *cough*

Now that I've gotten IN CONCERT, I am currently obsessed with "The Soviet Machine." I'd sad that this version has cut down on the 80's-tastic synth stuff. Still, it was well worth the cash. I just don't revel spending that much again for CDs.

Newbie [05 Feb 2005|11:12am]

Hey everyone *waves* I'm Stephanie, 16 from Michigan. Chess has always been one of my favorite musicals, so I was sooo happy to find this community!! I have the double disc set of the musical featuring Josh Groban live, it's not the greatest only beause it was recorded live, but it's not bootleg, it was actually baught at the show. I didn't see it, my friend did, I wish I could have seen it when Josh was in it!! What's everyone's favorite song?? Mine is "I know him so well" and "Heaven Help My Heart". Anyways, just thought I'd drop in and say hi, I shall make some Chess FO banners later on:)

Intros... [25 Jan 2005|10:07pm]

Hmm, well I just made this community five minutes ago. Um I doubt anyone will read this yet because I haven't actually set up all the community info yet. That's for tomorrow. I'll make backgrounds/bio/interests and such.

Anyway about me: my name's Sebbie, I live in Putnam Valley, which is some 45 minutes north of New York City. Um I'm a guy, 16, and really into musicals.

Anyway how I discovered Chess (the musical, not the game): um well about a week ago my friend came over and she gave me some CDs to copy into my computer, and Chess was part of that music, and yeah I loved it, so I made this community.

Yeah so hopefully that'll suffice untill the community's actually set up.
